Hi, I’m Vy! 👋

[Pronounced ‘VEE’]

I’m currently a Visual and Experience Designer at Fannie Mae, where I spend my time designing solutions and experiences for our customers and users.

I’ve helped craft compelling stories ranging from serving the needs of very low-income population to our internal employee experience. My designs also contributed towards maturing our design systems - through iconography, data visualization, and illustrations - and turning complex data into insightful and digestible visualizations. My strong interest in exploring and visualizing data in a clear and concise manner while finding the balance between aesthetic and usability makes me tick.

My experiences in small start-up companies to large organizations have taught me so much in creating data-driven and delightful designs. It has also taught me to be in a human-centered mindset. How can my design be in the service of others? How do I translate user needs into a seamless and accessible application, experience, and/or solution while still finding the balance between form and function? There are so many unanswered questions to uncover, and this enables designers to dig deep and experiment.

When I’m not behind a computer screen, I’m behind a canvas painting to my heart’s desire or experimenting with new baking recipes.
